UNCDF releases case-study report for REFAD project in Rwanda

This report outlays the impact of UNCDF’s ‘Expanding Financial Access and Digital and Financial Literacy (REFAD)’ project.

The UNCDF's recently-concluded ‘Expanding Financial Access & Digital and Financial Literacy for Refugees’ (REFAD) programme in Rwanda supported refugees and host communities by improving their access to finance and strengthening their digital and financial literacy.

This case study report highlights the achievements of the project.


Inkomoko and Umutanguha Microfinance Company (UFC) formed part of the project’s implementing partners and are key contibutors to this case study.

The Government of Rwanda, Equity Bank Rwanda, and World Relief Rwanda also lent their support as UNDCF partners to make this project a success.
