Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, NPP's Vice President, has launched my Creditscore, a personalized credit reference and scoring system backed by the Central Bank in Ghana.
The platform was launched at an event. This innovative system aims to improve access to credit by transparently showcasing individuals' creditworthiness.
Financial institutions will reward Ghanaians with good credit behaviour, promote responsible borrowing, and offer more extensive credit opportunities.
Dr Bawumia described this initiative as a crucial step toward building Ghana's dynamic and inclusive financial ecosystem.
The credit reference is expected to reduce credit risks and lending rates, thus addressing longstanding issues related to transparency and financial inclusion.
