Nigerian fintech, Flutterwave Inc's Chief Executive Officer, Olusola Agboola, has taken to his verified Twitter handle to announce the opening of a public fund to support and cater to those injured during the ongoing nationwide protests calling for the dissolution of Nigeria's Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (FSARS).
This is sequel to peaked frustrations of the Nigerian populace against the dreaded arm of the Nigeria Police Force, who have been reported to have formed a habit of intimidating, extorting, assaulting, raping and murdering Nigerian youth.
In a show of solidarity, Flutterwave's CEO opened the fund to the public for donations to support the cause after the company's staff had already pooled N2 million into the fund.
We've raised 2m so far, and the team decided to open it up to the public.
