MTN South Africa announces departure of Fintech CEO

MTN South Africa has announced the departure of its chief financial service officer, Bradwin Roper

Reports by the Centre for African Journalists (CAJ News) on behalf of MTN reveal that Bradwin Roper, the Fintech CEO of MTN South Africa, will be departing the company at the end of October 2024 to pursue a new opportunity.

Previously, Bradwin Roper worked with Unilever as a business process engineer for Africa, the Middle East, and Turkey. Bradwin Roper joined MTN from First National Bank (FNB), where he held the position of CEO of FNB Connect.

Having joined MTN South Africa in May 2023, Roper has contributed significantly to the growth and innovation of MTN's fintech division, helping to solidify its leadership in the sector.

Charles Molapisi, CEO of MTN South Africa, expressed gratitude for Roper's dedication and wished him success in his future endeavours.

The process of recruiting a new Fintech CEO is currently ongoing, with an announcement expected soon.
