To support SME’s and Micro SME’s in Kenya, M-PESA has recently rolled out products and services geared towards empowering them as well as helping them grow.
Key products rolled out recently include:
- M-PESA business APP- now with over 100k businesses of the over 200k active merchants.
- Business Transacting Till- enabling businesses to use funds collected to make payments such as bill payments, salaries etc.
- Self on boarding for merchants with SLA of 24 hours
- Capacity development initiatives to educate and empower business owners.
- Dedicated USSD for merchants as well as dedicated support.
- Micro SME wallet on their individual Wallets: To help them separate normal P2P transactions from business P2P transactions.
