FirstBank Nigeria appoints Ebenezer Olufowose as new chairman

FBN Holdings has officially announced Ebenezer Olufowose as Chairman of First Bank of Nigeria Limited

FirstBank Nigeria Limited has appointed  Ebenezer Olufowose to succeed Tunde Hassan-Odukale as the bank's chairman.

The bank's parent company, FBN Holdings, informed the Nigerian Exchange Limited and the investing public via a corporate filing of the change in leadership following the completion of Hassan-Odukale's 12 years as a non-executive Director in line with Central Bank of Nigeria Corporate Governance Guidelines.

Ebenezer Olufowose was initially the Group Managing Director of First Ally Capital Limited and was appointed to the bank board on April 29, 2021. Before joining FirstBank's Board, Ebenezer Olufowose was an Access Bank and Citibank Nigeria Executive Director.

According to the profile of the new chairman, Ebenezer Olufowose has over 36 years of experience in the financial services industry. He brings skills in Corporate Finance, Project Finance, and Investment Banking to the Board.
