Equity Bank Limited has introduced an innovative digital savings product called Digitokaboxi. Digitokaboxi is designed to enhance the savings experience for its customers. This new offering promotes smarter saving habits by leveraging technology to create a more efficient and user-friendly platform for managing savings.
The digital savings solution enables customers to set specific goals, track their progress, and benefit from competitive interest rates. Equity Bank aims to empower individuals to achieve their financial objectives more effectively with this product.
To access the digital savings services Equity Bank offers, individuals must first open an Equity account. This can be done by dialling *247# or by using the Equity mobile app, which can be downloaded from the Google Play Store or Apple Store.
Managing Director at Equity Bank Uganda, Anthony Kituuka said,
"Our customers have various objectives for why they save; some save for purposes of investment, so we have designed what we call a digital fixed deposit account."
In addition to this initiative, Equity Bank has been actively expanding its digital banking capabilities. The bank has received recognition for its customer satisfaction, ranking second in the Tier I category of a recent survey conducted by the Kenya Bankers Association.
