RightCard Payment Services Limited, trading as LemFi, has announced that it has received approval from the Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) to operate remittances in Kenya. LemFi is a cross-border payment solution that allows people in the diaspora to send and receive funds back home.
The latest regulatory approval will allow the fintech to expand its remittance operations and offer seamless international payments to the over 500,000 Kenyans in the diaspora.
Hence, the LemFi mobile app will enable Kenyans in the Diaspora to send money home. Kenyans in the United Kingdom, the United States, and Canada, for example, can send funds to the East African country in minutes via financial institutions such as M-PESA, mobile money wallets, and bank accounts, with no fees.
In addition, the latest milestone reveals LemFi’s commitment to complying with the Central Bank of Kenya's regulatory framework while providing secure and efficient services.
Customers in Kenya can download the app from the Apple AppStore or Google Play Store or by visiting www.lemfi.com.
