Airtel Kenya and KCB Bank Group have announced a strategic partnership that enables Airtel Money customers to make direct payments to KCB merchants' paybills through the Lipa Na KCB service.
This collaboration aims to improve customer experience and promote financial inclusion through innovative solutions. Airtel Money customers will benefit from lower transaction charges compared to current market rates when making payments to KCB paybills.
The collaboration is part of a larger trend in Kenya's financial sector, where mobile money operators are working towards greater interoperability to improve customer experience and expand access to financial services.
Airtel Money Kenya Managing Director Anne Kinuthia Otieno and KCB Kenya Managing Director Annastacia Kimtai signed the partnership.
Registered Airtel Money customers can access the Lipa Na KCB service by dialling *334# or using the My Airtel App.
