Deloitte, a global professional services firm, has inaugurated its first Innovation Hub in Cairo, Egypt, with a $30 million investment over three years. The hub, launched by Egypt's Minister of Communications and Information Technology Amr Talaat, marks Deloitte's entry into exporting digital services from Egypt.
This facility is part of Deloitte's global network of innovation centers, focusing on providing cross-border technology solutions to clients in Europe and the Middle East.
The hub currently employs 350 Egyptian professionals, ranging from recent graduates to experienced specialists, with plans to expand to 5,000 employees in the coming years. It offers various services including artificial intelligence, data analytics, cloud services, cybersecurity, and enterprise resource planning.
The establishment of this hub reflects growing confidence in Egypt as a destination for IT services and digital innovation investment. It aligns with the country's goal to boost its digital exports, which reached $6.2 billion in 2023.
The Deloitte Innovation Hub aims to create high-value jobs for young Egyptians, nurture local talent, and support the country's transition to a knowledge-based economy.
By expanding the range of services offered and increasing exposure to global markets, the hub is expected to enhance Deloitte's impact in the Egyptian market while delivering added value to clients across Europe and the Middle East.
