Airtel Africa Partners with Network International for digital payment

Network International has secured the role of Payment Processor telecom operator giant Airtel Africa

Airtel Africa has appointed Network International as its payment processor, marking a development in their collaboration. This collaboration is set to drive Airtel's continued provision of mobile services across Africa.

This partnership aims to enhance Airtel's mobile services and digital payment capabilities, offering users a seamless and secure experience. Network International, a leading enabler of digital commerce across the Middle East and Africa will roll out its services in crucial Airtel markets, covering card issuance products and providing technical support.

Network International's expertise includes transaction processing, card hosting and management, online fraud prevention, API sandbox, internal reconciliation and settlement, and online access for Airtel users. The collaboration is expected to drive digital financial inclusion and economic growth across Africa.

Dr Reda Helal, Group Managing Director – Processing, Africa and Co-Head of Group Processing at Network of Network International, highlighted the milestone as a testament to their ability to serve mobile network operators with comprehensive processing solutions.

Group CEO of Airtel Money, Ian Ferrao, said, "We are thrilled to partner with Network International to enhance our payment processing capabilities. This collaboration will enable us to deliver a superior customer experience and drive digital financial inclusion across Africa."

Ian Ferrao also emphasized the partnership's potential to deliver superior customer experiences and foster financial inclusion. Network International operates in 50 countries, including over 40 African markets, and serves over 200 financial institutions.
