RightCard Payment Services Limited (LemFi) has announced that it has obtained approval from the Bank of Ghana (BoG) to resume its remittance services in Ghana. This is consistent with RightCard’s (LemFi) commitment to providing secure and efficient services while complying with the set regulatory framework by the Bank of Ghana.

LemFi launch in Kenya

Founded in 2020, RightCard (LemFi) delivers innovative services and products through the LemFi app in markets like Nigeria and Kenya. LemFi is already licenced as an Electronic Money Institution with the Financial Conduct Authority in the United Kingdom.

In November 2023, LemFi suspended its operations in Ghana after the Bank of Ghana released a list of unapproved money transfer organisations, which included Lemfi. The Bank of Ghana warned Ghanaians and concerned financial institutions to cease all transactions with the affected companies like LemFi

Today, LemFi formally announced the resumption of its services to Ghana after temporarily suspending its money transfer services. As the Bank of Ghana approved, the company can now deliver its services in Ghana through partner payment companies, BigPay and ExpressPay.
